Some of the objections are created by fear of the unknown. With so many widely publicized phone scams and the increase in cases of ID theft, it is no wonder that people don't want to deal with unknown callers. Other objections are the result of poor experiences with other telemarketers, lack of information, or misunderstanding. Phone marketers should approach objections with poise, logic and eloquence. Under no circumstances should the sales agent engage into an argument with the prospective customer. Even if the argument in "won", the customer will be permanently lost.
